It’s been a year and a month since Ariana and I did our first shoot together

(shout out iPhone photos for letting me know...but at the same time idk why I didn’t know a month ago)🤷🏽‍♂️

Thought it’d be nice to share these in celebration. Happy Sunday🤙🏽

“Goals” has been a trigger word for me recently😂
I hate talking about them. But the topic keeps coming up.

I was challenged to write out where I want to be in the next 5-10 years. LIKE DUDE, IDK WHAT IM DOING TOMORROW🤷🏽‍♂️
—
So I hit up my best friend and started talking about it.
I think the stressful part is being afraid that if I set a goal, I might not reach it🎯
—
But my buddy put it into perspective:
Don’t expect the exact outcome of a goal, just think of it as a direction to build a path towards.
Something will inevitably come and steer you down a new way and that’s okay🚶🏽‍♂️

So while I sit on that, here’s a pic I took from 4 years ago, back when my goals were just to graduate college.

A Perfect Morning🛏

You wake up to some coffee and creamer
With a little something sizzling in the next room over
•
We tiptoe around beautiful things
And drive to music with the windows down
•
You soak the good energy in
And admire the day until you get a crick in your neck
•
And we repeat, repeat, and repeat.

I was so scared • After a conversation that felt

I was so scared

After a conversation that felt like an interrogation, I found out 70% of my pictures were created through fear
•
I was so scared of being good enough it became the main drive of what I did instead of creativity😅
•
If you’ve ever felt pressured to be amazing at something so much it makes you sick, you definitely get it
•
But I think you gotta act on it when you start to notice something affecting you so negatively
•
So I want to see what I can do from here on
with no pressure at all
•

People are helping me live life a little slower
(thank god)
•
At times it feels like my mind is moving a million miles per hour and the rest of me doesn’t have a clue how to keep up
•
And “Faking it” never led to “Making it” for me
•
With high self expectations being so hard to meet,
it’s easy to lose sight of who you are
•
And I was doing that reaaaally badly😅
•
But my friends are reminding me how to breathe again
And how to be exactly as I am

Identifying Yourself🎨

I learned that it’s not the best idea to identify yourself with a word
•
Being a “happy person” or a “brilliant person” can’t always be true
•
Nothing is static, so to define yourself as one thing just puts a limit on you
•
I’ve always wanted to be happy-go-lucky, funny, artsy, attractive, etc.
•
But I’m kinda just what I am right now🤷🏽‍♂️
•
Now, I don’t feel so sad about not being the “usual me”

In the past, I rarely loved myself But I’m done

In the past, I rarely loved myself
But I’m done with that

I got lost in years of critical thinking wondering what my worth really was

In hard times I usually write down why I love myself. I want to embody and embrace every reason even more now

I love myself because I am:
1. Humorous
2. Emotionally intelligent
3. Understanding & Accepting
4. Imaginative
5. Energetic
6. Reflective
7. Delicate
8. Tasteful
9. Happily Extroverted
10. Kind

Fears in the face of my love are extremely diminished; I’m happy to have learned I have so much more love to give
